Frequently Asked Questions
What types of acne can be treated?
We treat all forms of acne including whiteheads, blackheads, cystic acne, hormonal breakouts, and post-acne scarring. Our dermatologist assesses your skin before recommending a targeted treatment plan.
How are acne scars treated differently from active acne?
Active acne requires antibacterial and sebum-controlling treatments, while scars are addressed with resurfacing techniques like chemical peels, microneedling, or laser therapy to rebuild collagen and smooth the skin texture.
How many sessions will I need for acne scar removal?
Mild scars may improve in 3–4 sessions, while deeper or widespread scarring typically requires 6–10 sessions. Results vary based on scar type, depth, and skin response.
Is it safe to get a chemical peel if I have active breakouts?
Light peels like the Mira Peel or Golden Peel can be performed on active acne-prone skin. Deeper peels are usually done once active breakouts are controlled. Our expert will evaluate your skin before proceeding.
Will the treatments cause more breakouts?
Some clients experience a mild purging phase in the first 1–2 weeks, especially with peels or microneedling. This is normal and temporary — the skin is clearing congestion from deeper layers.
Are acne treatments suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. We offer gentler formulations and lower concentrations for sensitive skin. Your treatment protocol is customized to minimize irritation while delivering effective results.
How long before I see clearer skin?
Many clients notice fewer breakouts and improved texture within 2–4 weeks. Significant reduction in scarring is usually visible after 2–3 months of consistent treatment.
Can I wear makeup after acne treatments?
We advise avoiding heavy, comedogenic makeup for at least 24 hours post-treatment. Non-comedogenic, mineral-based products are generally safe to use if needed.
What should I avoid after a peel session?
Avoid direct sun exposure, sweating heavily, swimming, and exfoliating products for at least 48–72 hours post-peel. Use a gentle moisturizer and SPF as advised by your therapist.
Can diet affect acne, and do you provide dietary guidance?
Yes, diet plays a role in acne — high-glycemic foods and dairy can trigger breakouts in some individuals. Our team can provide basic lifestyle and dietary recommendations as part of your holistic treatment plan.
